Why?

Our underwriters have taken the decision to suspend any new
deposit covers due to the 'lockdown' imposed by the UK Government.

This is a suspension of cover and by no means a withdrawal, but the lifting of the
suspension rests with the Underwriters.

How can you protect your customers’ deposits?

This is an industry wide update and deposit cover is currently unavailable
through any approved IBG provider while the underwriters reassess their risk.

If you are registered with a CPS scheme, please rest assured, deposit cover does
not come part of the financial protection required when you self certify.

You may still be able to protect your customers by;

Taking their payment via Credit Card, this automatically provides them with
section 75 cover through their bank for payments between £100 and £30,000,

Taking payments through an escrow scheme similar to that offered by TrustMark.
