If the installer is still trading, they would be your first point of contact but if you’re not sure or want to check, give us a call, we’re happy to help.
The Insurance Backed Guarantee underwrites the installing contractors written guarantee, so if the installing contractors own written guarantee is transferrable, so is the Insurance Backed Guarantee. For more information about transferring policy, check out your policy terms and conditions.

Unmatched BRCC Details
Any customers shown below are from your Building Regulation Compliance Cer_ficate (BRCC) registrations we have received from your Competent Person Scheme (FENSA/CERTASS) that we haven’t found an Insurance Backed Guarantee for. These registrations will be automaically processed for an Insurance Backed Guarantee 1 week after the notification email is sent to you.
With any of these registrations, you have three options.
- You can create an Insurance Backed Guarantee from the (BRCC) if it is urgent and you would rather not wait for it to auto process.
- You can mark the registra_on as a duplicate, when theinsurance backed guarantee has been registered but has notmatched up to the BRCC.
- If the BRCC is for commercial work or is for a Housing Association/Local Authority who do not require an IBG, you can mark the registration as not valid.
